The new composite material has good mechanical. shock attenuating properties comprising a honeycomb structured monolith of ceramic material like cordierite (2MgO.2Al2O35SiO2) Or mullite (3AI2O3 2SiO) or their combination encapsulated within a rubberized Kevlar fabric which is inturn moulded into a block of an un vulcanized rubber.
