Title of Invention

CHILD PROOF CAP

Abstract ABSTRACT :- Child Proof container comprises a flexible cap with notches In the inner circumferences and a container having counter notches diametrical-ly opposite to notches in the cap such that cap and bottle locks at a particular point, the said cap is provided with an indication indicating the place wherein the cap needs to be pressed and then twisted which results in the release of locked notches between the cap and container and facilitates opening of the cap.

CHILD PROOF CAP
This invention in general relates to containers and in particular this Invention relates a Child Proof Cap adapted to be fitted with a container, so that the contents in the container become inacoesaible to a child.
CHILD PROOF CAP is used as a closure of any container which may hold hazardous or corrosive products and which can be dangerous it Improperly handled by small children who are unable to read or compre¬hend the use of such products. This application is for a cap which looks into the container and will not open in the normal fashion. The cap has to be pressed on the sides and then twisted open which ifi nor-mally not done, unless the person is able to read the instructions and open the cap suitably. The cap may also be opened under great. force which is normally not exertable by the child. Accidents due to misuse in handling of hazardous products by infants/children in a commQn knowl¬edge. Considerable efforts needs to be taken by the adults for storage and preservation of these products such that they are out ol reach fll children. However, in the case of day to day house-hold products this is very difficult and chances of aooessibility at fiUQh produatfi tQ XM child is fairly high. Ue have therefore invented this device to prevent accidental opening of these containers by children and oonsequent dan-ages by its mishandling by the child.
There are different types of closures which nomially nakei thft
closing mechanically pilfer proof. There is no known device which
ensure that container is child proof (rendering it not possible to be
opened by a child under normal opening action).
It is the primary objection of the invention to construct a con¬tainer which is CHILD PROOF.

It Is another object of the Invention to construct a container which can safely contain hazardous and corrosive substances away Iron the reach of children.
It Is another object of the Invention to construct a container which will prevent nishandllng by children and consequent danage of such mlshandling.
Child Proof container conprises a flexible cap with notches in the Inner circumferences and a container having counter notches dtanetrlcal--ly opposite to notches in the cap such that cap and bottle looks at a particular point, and the cap is provided with an indication indicating the place wherein the cap needs to be pressed and then twisted which results release of locked notches between the cap and container hn^ facilities opening of the cap.
Now the invention will be described in detail with reference to accompanying drawings wherein Figure 1 shows the container with Child Proof Cap in elevation. The sectional view of the device taken at 'B' is illustrated.
Figure 2 Illustrates end view, a sectional view taken at 'A' and plan view of the device according to the invention.
The construction of the device comprises of a flexible cap with notches in the inner circumferences diametricaliy opposite to one And the other in the cap. Corresponding to these notches the bottle has counter notches diametrically opposite to one and other. The threading and height of the cap and the bottle design with respect to these notch-

es are so designed that when the cap is screwed on to the container two pairs of corresponding notches in the cap and the bottle looki at a particular point. This is one of the sal ient features of this inven-* tion.
With the application of normal force, the cap does not open. The cap has an indication indicating the place where it needs to be pressed and then twisted to open the cap device fron the container and then use the contents of the container. These press positions are located per¬pendicular to the notch positions so that when it is pressed at the position placed dianetrically opposite one and other on the cap and the container it helps in opening of the cap. This is another salient features of our invention.
This device ensures that the packaging is child proof i.e. if prevents accidental opening of the cap inadvertently by children. This child proof device consists of simple mechanism of a cap and a container which has corresponding locking device suoh that they look into each other in the closed condition and are nornally not openable by a child. This nechanism nay be used for any sinilar devices to ensure that the locking device become child proof each and everytiae it is used.
in this application the conponents are made of plastiosi However
this invention can also be applied to sinilar devices of other naterial
having characteristics capable of making the unit child proof in the way
designed by us. It is to be noted that this device is not a pilfer
proof device but is specifically a child proof device which is a new concept.

WE CLAIMS:-
